Planning a trip to Jordan and want to visit the country's must-see sites like the fabulous city of Petra? Then get your Jordan Pass! A valuable pass that combines the Jordanian visa and access to more than 30 popular attractions in Jordan at an unbeatable price.

In this article, discover all our tips for traveling to Jordan with the Jordan Pass.

What is the Jordan Pass?

The Jordan Pass is a ticket that combines a 30-day entry visa to Jordan and access to more than 30 Jordanian tourist sites, including Petra.

Created by the Jordanian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, it is purchased online before your trip to Jordan and allows you to save both time and money. Indeed, the Jordan Pass price is very advantageous and will quickly pay for itself!

To know:

The Jordan Pass is valid for one year after its purchase date and is valid for 15 days after its first use. It is intended for personal use as it is linked to your passport number when you place your order.

Entry fees to the territory are waived with the Jordan Pass provided you spend at least 4 days (3 nights) on Jordanian territory.

How much does the Jordan Pass cost?

Visiting Jordan with the Jordan Pass: All Our Tips

There are three packages for the Jordan Pass. Each package includes the entry visa to Jordan and access to more than 40 tourist attractions in the country.

The package price depends solely on the number of days you wish to spend at Petra.

  • 70 JD for 1 day at Petra

  • 75 JD for 2 days at Petra

  • 80 JD for 3 days at Petra

Keep in mind that the entry visa to Jordan alone costs 40 JD. One day at Petra costs 50 JD, 55 JD for two days, 60 JD for three days. Entry to the Jerash site costs 10 JD... So the math is simple! The Jordan Pass is truly worth it—it saves you considerable money on the ground!

We strongly recommend spending at least two days at Petra to have enough time to fully enjoy the site. The area is vast, there are many hiking options, and one day really isn't enough to discover all the treasures the site has to offer.

Good to know: Children under 12 years old accompanied by their parents enter free to Jordan's most popular sites, including Petra. The Jordan Pass is therefore necessary only for children 12 years and older.
