The spirit of travel

Discover Jordanie, between ancient heritage, desert landscapes and Red Sea shores. Your journey begins in Amman, before heading to the ruins of Jérash and the green landscapes of Ajloun. You continue your itinerary in Madaba and mont Nébo, then take the Route des Rois through the landscapes of the Mujib valley.

Throughout the journey, encounters with local residents allow you to discover Jordanie from a more human perspective and share authentic experiences.

You then head to Pétra to discover the famous Nabatean city carved into the rock, before heading to Wadi Rum. In the desert, jeep rides, Bedouin cuisine and sunsets shape your discovery of these landscapes. The journey continues in Aqaba, on the shores of the Red Sea, where you enjoy moments of relaxation on the beach, swimming, snorkeling and a cruise. You end your itinerary on the banks of the mer Morte, with the experience of floating in its salty waters.

A circuit in Jordanie that combines cultural discoveries, encounters, desert and moments of relaxation, to explore the different facets of the country.

Amman & Jerash: Between Ancient Splendor and Vibrant Capital

Amman → Jerash

1h50 km

In the morning, depart by road towards the north of Amman to reach Jerash, recognized as one of the best-preserved Roman cities in the Middle East. Explore its paved streets, colonnades, temples, theatres and other ancient treasures that remained buried under the sand for centuries.

Founded over 6,500 years ago, Jerash was taken by the Romans in 63 BC. The city is full of remains testifying to a prestigious past, yielding its renown only to Petra as a major attraction in Jordanie. Today, Jerash is considered one of the best-preserved Roman provincial cities in the region, having been buried under sand for centuries before being rediscovered and restored over a 70-year period.

Built entirely in orange-pink limestone, the city illuminates beautifully in the rising and setting sun. The peak of Gerasa dates back to the 2nd and 3rd centuries. Jerash is a perfect example of Roman urban planning in the Middle East, with its paved streets lined with columns, its immense temples, its charming theatres, its vast public squares, its baths, its fountains and its ramparts pierced with towers and gates.

Explore this fascinating city with a local English-speaking guide during a private tour of approximately two hours. Then, enjoy a meal in the open air with a local family, with a breathtaking view of the Dibbeen forests.

Pink City of the Desert, Archaeological Treasure of Jordan

The full day is devoted to exploring the Pink City, an icon of the country, a UNESCO World Heritage site, an exceptional and monumental place steeped in mystery, which will amaze you. You have an early breakfast to make the most of the site from its opening at 6am. Sometimes nicknamed the Lost City, built nearly 2000 years ago by the Nabataeans, "lost" to the West in the 14th century and then rediscovered in the early 19th century by a Swiss traveler disguised as an Arab claiming to want to honor the tomb of the prophet Aaron, Petra is full of tombs, palaces, staircases, and rock-cut temples…

The spectacle is everywhere and captivates lovers of beautiful stone, history, artists, explorers and simple travelers alike. The magic works and emotions run high!

The day includes a guided tour of 2:30 hours with a specialized English-speaking guide. The rest of the day is free.

Little Petra & Wadi Rum

Visit to Little Petra and the Siq el-Barid site, a Nabataean caravanserai and commercial hub, as well as the Neolithic remains of Beidah. Abundant in Nabataean ruins. This site is an important stop on the route to Petra and is distinguished by its narrow 400-meter canyon, the Siq, which opens between red sandstone rocks. On site, you will discover a temple-tomb and four triclinia, the guest chambers where Bedouin merchants would stop. Little Petra, founded in the 1st century BC, was part of the great city of Petra, but was dedicated to residential and commercial dwellings rather than temples or royal necropolises.
